Codes specific to Behavioral Health are not included in updates for fiscal year 2024. However, there are new codes for Neurology, conditions present at birth, and Social Determinants of Health related to behaviors. These new codes are conditions that may be seen by a behavioral health professional, neurologist, emergency department staff and primary care either individually or in tandem with another specialty practice.

This webinar will discuss updates in each of these categories, any specific guidance and necessary documentation for reporting.

There will be new codes and updates for Parkinson’s Disease, Migraines, Epilepsy, and syndromes that may affect behaviors.

New reporting for Social Determinants of Health includes caregiver noncompliance with medical treatments, child custody situations, social environments and inadequate upbringing.
